ZIPAIR, a low-cost airline based in Tokyo, is making millions of travel dreams come true offering budget prices between the United States and Asia.
Whilst the small, low-cost airline is a newcomer to the industry, it only launched in June 2020, starting December 25th, the airline will be offering three flights per week from Tokyo-Narita to Los Angeles.
“There is a growing demand for nonstop flights between LAX and Narita International Airport, and we are pleased that ZIPAIR shares our desire to provide additional options for our guests who want to experience the food, culture, art and history of Japan and the surrounding region,” Becca Doten, deputy executive director of public and government affairs at Los Angeles World Airports said at a press conference on November 12.
One-way tickets are reported to start around $240 (converted from 27,500 Japanese Yen) and the airline has stated that they are hoping to add more and more flights to their schedule in the near future. Another bonus for travelers as the flights will be non-stop and while onboard for around 9 hours and 30 minutes, passengers can also enjoy free internet.
ZIPAIR is poised to alleviate the prior decisions that travelers would make when thinking of flying to the Far East, distance, and the cost involved, with their affordable options. They will also be offering low-priced options for travelers within continental Asia.
Currently, they operate only three Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with a 290-seat configuration which has been leased from Japan Airlines, but is looking to ramp up their market share as the expectation of demand is certain to rise.
