The Breakers Restaurants, Palm Beach - An Italian Experience

One of the biggest challenges families face when traveling is finding restaurants that cater to families with young kids. This usually means having some sort of entertainment or even distractions to keep the kids busy giving parents a chance to order and simply enjoy a glass of wine and some conversation.

We’ve been to plenty of restaurants where we get a coloring paper, or a small courtyard for them to run around. But until we entered the Italian Restaurant at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, that I finally found the ideal family restaurant.

The restaurant has entire entertainment center area.  I mean rooms of toys, videos games and even a mini theater. It was paradise.

Dinner Time – Enjoying the Italian restaurant at The Breakers

Now that the kids were taken care of, the fun can start. With my parents living close enough to the resort, they joined us for dinner.  We are big fans of Italian food and this one had plenty to chose from. So menu reading took us longer than usual.

In the meantime, we munched on fresh bread.

And interestingly enough, they also brought out a fresh fruit platter. Rarely have I seen healthy options for kids.

We wanted to have a taste of a bit of everything. We started with two appetizers.

Fried Calamari

Pear Gorgonzola Salad – which was absolutely deliciously different with that sour and sweet mixed flavor.

My son ordered the pizza which was better than any gourmet pizza shop I’ve been too. Honestly, I would’ve been thrilled eating this all night. But instead he ate it all and grudgingly gave me a tiny bite.

My hubby ordered the Garganelli Valdostano pasta dish – creamy and full of flavor

My dad loved the Shrimp Scampi

And my mom tried the Chicken (Pollo) Marsala

Information for Visiting The Italian Restaurant at The Breakers 

I would definitely recommend making reservations. Even if you are staying at The Breakers Resort. 

The restaurant is spacious, but the kid’s playrooms are on the other side of the entrance. My recommendation, especially if you are with young kids, is you want to be as close to the playrooms as possible. So ask for those tables.
