My husband and I love staying in golf resorts. But the funny thing is, we are not golfers. I think there is this almost limiting idea that if you don’t play golf that there will be little else for you to do. On the contrary! Here’s my full experience staying at Innisbrook Golf Resort.

Why We Love Staying on Golf Resorts and What Innisbrook Golf Resort Did for Us

So why out of all types of hotels and inns to choose from, my husband and I go for a golf resort? In particular, Innisbrook Golf Resort outside of Tampa, Florida

The main reason we love these sorts of resorts, is you are guaranteed to have gorgeous views and property. Most resorts that have golf courses know what they have.

They manage the grounds with exquisite grooming.

Nature and open spaces – we love to walk around and breathe in the fresh air. We had a great surprise along the trails. A little food and beverage cart. And it wasn’t only G-rated stuff, we were able to buy some beers to enjoy the sunshine and relaxed afternoon.

This particular hotel’s property led to trails along wetlands.

I’m not much of a hiker, so extra manicured, and easy to navigate are my kind of walking experiences.

And pools.

So, before I go any further in talking about the pools. Innisbrook Resort is HUGE. Not just huge. But I mean, it’s almost like a tiny city of its own.

There are hundreds of buildings, with suites and apartments of all sizes, taking up hundreds of acres of gorgeous land.

And with that, comes many options for club centers and pools.

This is the main pool where you can pick up bikes for rentals and other fun activities to do with kids.

There was also a pool close to our suite as well, but this was simply more fun. And with a waterfall.

What my hubby and I DO love is biking. And bike rentals are literally the number one thing for us to do whenever we go anywhere.

And a huge reason we are staying at the Innisbrook as well.

The trails here are fun and easy. And the bikes are in perfect condition.

This is paradise!

There is nothing more that I need on my romantic getaway. Quality time with my man and beautiful biking trails.

And, of course, a gorgeous sunset.

When you reserve a room, make sure to ask for the ones that look out onto the golf course. It truly makes a difference.
