LinkedIn & AI: How They Team Up & Why It’s Important

LinkedIn & AI: How They Team Up & Why It’s Important

Another day, another article, you might think, from some “random” on the internet preaching about
marketing and artificial intelligence. But I’m not here to give you fluff and generic knowledge about what
you could easily Google online.

Hi, I’m Joshua B. Lee, and you might know me as the “Dopamine Dealer on LinkedIn”. In the past 2 decades, I’ve built 16 businesses, authored a book called Balance is Bullsh*t, and I’ve had clients like MySpace and Google managing nearly a billion dollars in advertising spends.

While working with companies that are larger than life, I realized one thing: The digital landscape became
quite “noisy”. AKA, there were too many automated things, robotic language, and SELL SELL SELL energies online, and the human touch got lost in the mix.

TL;DR: Human connection was obliterated, and too many people focused a lot on monetization for profit’s sake. I’m a consumer myself, so I saw a gap that could be fixed and asked, “How can I bring back the heart in this digital universe? How can I help people see beyond the screen and build genuine
connections?”

Enter → Standout Authority, my baby since 2014. We’re all about helping folks (like you, who’s reading
this) bring the human back to your brand.

And we’ve chosen to zero in on LinkedIn—the Avengers’ HQ of business platforms—to build authentic
relationships and clients.

Why LinkedIn?

Perhaps this number will sum it up for you: as of April 2023, LinkedIn has 922.3 million active members
on the platform.

So if you’re looking for the perfect place for marketing, networking, and reaching your audience as a thought leader in your field, this would be THE platform for you.

And as LinkedIn turns 20 this year, it’s making a huge push towards AI—quite the HOT topic everywhere,
regardless of the niche/industry.

Here’s what’s coming to a LinkedIn profile you want to get going:

LinkedIn’s Drive to Embrace AI and Transform Content Creation

LinkedIn continues to push the boundaries of AI-powered transformation, making your content creation
more engaging, entertaining, and downright amazing.

Here are some of the bold moves LinkedIn has been making towards AI:

  • Ever since LinkedIn joined forces with the latest AI technology, ChatGPT, the platform has been on a roll (If you didn’t know yet, Microsoft invested $10 billion into OpenAI).
  • Since then, they’ve released a series of helpful tools such as “Smart Replies” and “Resume Assistant”— just a couple of examples of how LinkedIn has harnessed the power of AI to streamline your messaging and job-hunting experience.
  • LinkedIn has created Collaborative Articles, a feature that allows multiple creators to work together on a single AI-generated article, offering diverse viewpoints on a given topic.
  • AI isn’t just great for writing; it’s also an amazing helper when it comes to insights and analytics. LinkedIn is launching Content Insights, an AI-driven tool that provides data on article performance. You can’t know if your marketing is going in the right direction if you don’t know your numbers.

LinkedIn’s AI revolution aims to foster collaboration, amplify top voices, and help creators get their high-
quality content in front of the right audience.

LinkedIn’s Supercharged Move to AI

Within 3 months, LinkedIn’s AI team managed to roll out new ChatGPT-based tools. These AI-gasmic
features are designed to make your LinkedIn experience more seamless and efficient than ever.

Let’s dive deeper:

LinkedIn + ChatGPT: A Dynamic Duo

LinkedIn & AI: How They Team Up & Why It’s Important

LinkedIn is looking to encourage us to use ChatGPT to write posts. Enter up to 30 words, click Draft
Post,” and instantly have a draft to review, edit, or post as is. In beta testing, this will be a premium
feature.

And being the Dopamine Dealer and Top Voice of LinkedIn has its perks… I’ve gained access to the beta
for the Generative AI tool (ChatGPT-4 based), and I’m one of the first to test it out. While it’s initially
available as a premium feature, the benefits it offers are bound to be worth every penny.  Think of Draft
using AI as your virtual writing assistant—the Jarvis to your Tony Stark, or the Alfred to your Batman.

It can help you:
→ Save time.
→ Enhance your productivity.
→ Ensure your posts are polished to perfection.

Turbocharged Content Moderation: The AI Shield

LinkedIn & AI: How They Team Up & Why It’s Important

Let’s face it, we’re constantly scrolling through an abundance of user-generated content, so it’s no
surprise that effectively managing and curating content on your brand’s online platforms can be an
overwhelming task.

Fortunately, there’s a solution: AI-powered content moderation is poised to revolutionize this process. By
leveraging artificial intelligence, content moderation can be automated, allowing for efficient classification, flagging, and removal of harmful content.

Here are three ways you can harness the power of AI for content moderation:

  • AI Content Moderation for Texts: Utilize AI to analyze the tone, categorize content, and
monitor brand and competitor mentions through natural language processing and entity
    recognition techniques.
  • AI Content Moderation for Images & Videos: Tap into the potential of Computer Vision
(Visual-AI) to identify undesirable or harmful content. With the integration of natural language
processing, AI can even detect suggestive content within images.
  • AI Content Moderation for Voice Recordings: Explore the realm of voice analysis
technology. AI-powered tools can transcribe voice recordings into text and analyze tone and
intent using natural language processing algorithms.

Thanks to the extraordinary capabilities of ChatGPT, LinkedIn’s AI-driven content moderation has been
turbocharged, making it more powerful and effective than ever before.

Job & Career Support Right at your Fingertips

We’ve all been there: that squeamish ordeal of job-hunting:

Scrolling through hundreds of companies, writing different cover letters, and tailoring your CVs to help
yourself stand out. With LinkedIn’s integration with ChatGPT’s natural language understanding, job-
hunting transforms into something you no longer have to hate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What motivates entrepreneurs?

We are motivated by passion. But, we have an inborn desire to create something meaningful and make a difference. To make a difference for ourselves and our loved ones.

To give back. To give back. To leave a mark.

We love it. Because we feel compelled to live life fully and experience success in ways that matter.

We are driven primarily by a sense that purpose and mission is important. It cannot be achieved solely through money.

It is important to find a way that combines business and pleasure. Entrepreneurship becomes more than a job.

It is this passion that I have for helping entrepreneurs succeed. My goal is to empower them to achieve their financial freedom and leave a lasting impact on the world.

I'm living proof of the fact that creating value is the best. And sharing your knowledge and expertise with the rest of the world.

It is not enough to create a great product. It is essential to understand your customers' motivations and what they want. They want what they need.

It will make you a better marketer and help you improve your product. You will always be able to provide more value.

Customers will be more satisfied if you offer more value. Plus, more customers will mean more sales. Plus, you'll generate more revenue if your products and services are more popular. You will eventually be financially independent if you have more revenue.

You see, money isn't everything. It's just the means to an end. Not the end in itself.

It is not enough to focus on money if your goal is to live a full and happy life. Focusing on positive change is also important. Contributing. Leave a legacy. Create something unique. Unique. You can add meaning to others' lives and your own.

Entrepreneurship requires risk-taking. But it doesn't mean having any rules. Flexible means being open to change. Adapting. Adjusting. Improving.

As long as you stay true to yourself, keep your values intact and maintain integrity, you won't fail.

Entrepreneurship can be a calling. A vocation. An opportunity to contribute. To create wealth. To shape history.

All of these are key to being the best version possible of yourself.

You won't be stopped.

What is your biggest motivation in life and why?

So you're curious about my best motivation in life? Well, let me tell you. I find the greatest motivation in life to make people feel good about themselves. To help them see that they are extraordinary, because they are. That they are worthy to be loved, because they are.

That they deserve happiness, because they do.

I'm here reminding people that being happy about yourself is the most important thing. Nothing. And I will do everything in my power to change the world.

When we feel good about our own self, we are more open-minded and compassionate to those around us. We stop judging one another based on superficiality. Instead we see the person as they are.

Motivating someone by showing them they have everything within themselves is the most effective way to get them to do so.

Although they may not be aware of it, that is why they have been struggling with something so much. They knew deep down that they could heal themselves.

They just needed the right environment, support system and mindset. However, they forgot to see that.

They lost sight of the problem. They were too busy trying find the root cause of the problem. They were too busy trying to fix the problem, when they realized that they had all of the tools needed to solve it.

But they forgot that the real reason they weren't able to solve it was because they didn't even know they had the answer.

This is why I remind you that you can create something entirely new. It is easy to tap into your inner genius.

Everything will come together once you do this. It will be a joy to realize your dreams.

You see, I believe everyone has access to their own unique superpower.

We just have to learn how to use it.

What are the five most important motivators for entrepreneurs?

Motivation is the key to success. Without it, everything would fail. We wouldn't exist without it.

Motivational psychology studies how people behave when they are motivated. We do amazing things when we are motivated. But it's also clear that there are limits to our motivation.

The five most important motivational factors are:

  1. Autonomy – The freedom of choice
  2. Mastery - The ability to master skills
  3. Purpose - The sense of purpose
  4. Relatedness - the feeling of belonging
  5. Reciprocity, the desire to give and receive

These motivators could be useful for your business. However, each perspective is a little different about why people do what they do.

A person may desire autonomy because he wants freedom and control over his life. Or he might want to mastery because he wants more skill at his job.

So on. These are only a few examples of motivations. There are many more. However, which ones might be most applicable to your particular situation. It all depends on you.

To help you find out, I suggest writing three words that describe your ideal environment at work. These words can then be applied to your current working environment.

If you struggle to come up with ideas, simply ask yourself why are you doing this. The answer will help you identify your goals.

Once you know what you want, you can begin to figure out where you stand right now. That knowledge can help determine if you should change.

You don't have to change anything. It's time you evaluated your options.

But if you want to make improvements, then you'll need to start thinking about ways to motivate yourself.

Which motivator is the most powerful? It's hard for us to say. So instead of focusing on one single factor, focus on all five.

These will assist you in achieving your ultimate goal of becoming an entrepreneur.

What are the 3 motivations of an entrepreneur?

Entrepreneurs' three most important motivations are freedom, money, and knowledge.

  1. Freedom means freedom. It is having the freedom to do what and when you want. This is why entrepreneurs can be free from the constraints of our job or current life.
  2. Money is also very important because we would not even consider starting a business without it. Although we can survive without food and water, we cannot live without money.
  3. The third motivator is knowledge. Entrepreneurship requires us to constantly learn more and more, which is why we often find ourselves reading books, attending seminars, taking online courses, and learning how to create products and services.

This is what motivates us to achieve our goals. It gives purpose and meaning to our lives.

These three factors are what made us entrepreneurs. These are the driving forces that keep us going every day.

We might consider packing up and moving home if these three essentials are not available. If we don't have these three things, we won't ever be truly happy.

What keeps an entrepreneur motivated?

My greatest motivator is freedom. We live in a world that limits how much we can earn, save money, invest and buy, as well as our ability to borrow, rent, drive or fly. We don't have to live within those limitations. We are free to chase our dreams and make those dreams come true.

We can't allow ourselves to be slaves to these limitations. If we do, we lose sight of the fact that we are the masters of our destiny. We are the captains of our ships. We are the architects for our lives.

I am driven by the desire to create wealth beyond my wildest imagination. To create businesses bigger than life. To create businesses that change the way people live forever.

To create more powerful companies than any government, more influential that any religion, longer-lasting than time itself.

It's why I'm here. My goal is to help entrepreneurs grow their business faster than anyone else. Because everyone wins when you win.

What motivations are there for entrepreneurs?

There are three major types of motivation that entrepreneurs can use. Each type has its own set of strengths and weaknesses.

External motivation is the most common. It's where someone wants to make more money. This motivation often stems from financial concerns.

External motivation can be driven by personal passion, ambition, or desire. This type of motivation leads to people who are extremely goal-oriented.

Internal motivation is far more rare. People who have internal motivation don't seek wealth. Instead they pursue other goals such self-development, fulfillment, and service.

People with inner motivation are often called "passionate" when they find satisfaction in what they do.

Finally, intrinsic motivation is the least popular type of motivation. Intrinsic motivation describes individuals who enjoy and are satisfied working towards a particular goal.

An intrinsic motivation is far more powerful than an external or internal motivator.

Inner motivation is a result of the inner self. It is based upon the belief that certain talents and abilities are inherent in people. These abilities and talents allow them to achieve things that no one else could.

It is satisfying and fulfilling to realize our potential and talents. We feel like we are doing important work.

In essence, intrinsic motivation is what makes you happy. That happiness comes from knowing that we can accomplish anything we put our minds to.

This feeling of accomplishment keeps us going, even when it is difficult.

You might even find it boring if you don’t enjoy what your doing.

What are five motivational factors for entrepreneurs?

Entrepreneurs are motivated by the desire to become financially independent. They want to take control of their fate. They also want to have enough money to provide for their families.

They are motivated by the desire and need to help others. Most people who are successful in business don't do it for their own gain, but to help others.

Apart from these factors, there are many other motivations.

  1. Passion - To succeed, you must love what you do. If you don’t enjoy what your do, who would?
  2. Vision – A vision is a picture of where you want to go. We can imagine ourselves there when we dream. We are excited to dream because we know our dreams will come true.
  3. Courage - Never fear failure. Instead, face it with courage. Failure is inevitable, but it doesn’t have to define who you are. While failure is inevitable, success is still possible if we keep going.
  4. Belief – Believe in yourself. Do not let doubt keep you from reaching your goals. Doubt is often the result of fear. Fear keeps us stuck in our comfort zone. You can get out of your comfort area and start moving towards your goals.
  5. Persistence – Never stop trying, no matter what the odds may seem. Everyone fails sometimes. But if you persist, eventually, you'll achieve your goal.
