New Orleans has totally surprised me.
A city that is mainly known for its festivals, food and partying is actually one of the most family friendly places we have visited in a long time.
With the help of NOLA CVB, we headed for the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas.
The aquarium is located along the river walk. It is literally a ten-minute walk from our hotel, Maison Dupuy, which is in the French Quarters. Loved the fact that we didn’t have to take taxis to get here.

The aquarium has amazing exhibits and interactive fun stations, with different tanks all over the place.

The aquarium is closed on Mondays, but Tuesday through Sunday stays open 10 – 5 pm.
