Have you ever been to a lavender field, or even know what one is? I’ve never even really considered it until one day a photo of it popped up. I don’t even know which one of my feeds, and I was like my God, this is beautiful. Where are these places? So I started to do research and the majority of them and what they’re really known for is the lavender fields in Provence of France. People go from all over the world to visit these incredibly beautiful lavender fields and just enjoy the lavender. And I really would love to go and see that. Today we’re going to be talking about lavender fields, in my case, I visited one called Jardines de Provenza in Antigua, Guatemala.

Lavender Fields in Antigua, Guatemala

As I was doing the search to see different cool things that you can visit, Jardines de Provenza popped up, and it was in Antigua, right near where we live. I was like what? I could not believe that we have a beautiful lavender field to visit right here in Antigua. So, of course, me and my husband, ok I dragged my husband, I shouldn’t tell me and my husband wanted to more like I dragged my husband to it, but he was happy to go.

We went to visit this place. It’s about 15 minutes from Antigua, Guatemala, and it is this gorgeous lavender field. They obviously use their lavender for many products that they sell and whatnot. But it is open to the public, and they have beautiful restaurants, so you can park right inside and that makes it really cool.

Restaurant

The restaurant is built in such a way that you overlook the lavender fields, and it also overlooks the volcano. I should say it has multiple volcano views, and it’s just a beautiful way to spend a brunch or an afternoon or even watch the sunset.

Cabins

You could go even a step further. They have cabins there that you could rent out. The cabins are pretty large. So you could go stay in a fully equipped cabin that you could come there with food and enjoy the lavender fields all to yourself after everybody has left. And they even have a mini cathedral or mini church because people do rent this place out for weddings.

Conclusion

So if you have half a day to enjoy while you’re visiting Antigua or Guatemala City this is definitely a fascinating place to visit the food, it’s not that bad, but it’s the view, and it’s the experience. So honestly guys, if you can enjoy an afternoon visit to this place for half a day, highly recommended.
