Cambodia’s plans to reopen to international travelers will begin on November 30. According to an announcement from the nation’s leaders, a phased-in approach to accepting fully vaccinated international guests opens with Phase 1 on November 30.
This initial phase allows guests from Canada, the United Kingdom, United States and other nations to enter the country as long as they are fully vaccinated. The guests will not have to quarantine, but they must spend at least five days at one of the country’s designated international tourism arrival areas before continuing to other destinations.
The areas opening in this first phase include Sihanoukville and Koh Rong. These provinces boast beautiful beaches and water sports, these areas generate a significant amount of income.
Guests must show proof of vaccination and a negative COVID-19 test at arrival and must take another COVID-19 rapid test at the airport.
Cambodia’s COVID-19 case rate shows drastic improvement in the past 14 days. The average of 150 new COVID-19 cases each day represents a considerable drop from the average of 750 new cases per day just one month ago.
Overall, Cambodia has counted just over 118,000 cases of COVID-19 among its citizens. As of October 28, 2,766 Cambodian citizens have died of COVID-19.
