Chiefs DE Frank Clark's poor choice of words should give Josh Allen and the Bills even more motivation

On Sunday night, the Kansas City Chiefs obliterated the Pittsburgh Steelers at Arrowhead Stadium to earn a date with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

A rematch of last year’s AFC title game will now take place in Kansas City, and everybody knows what happened last time these teams met in the regular season. But none of that matters anymore. The Bills still remember that bitter taste from losing to the Chiefs last year with a Super Bowl trip on the line.

But, Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark delivered a message that should give Allen and his team even more motivation ahead of Sunday’s rematch.

Josh Allen and the Bills are trying to exact revenge on the Chiefs

The last time these two teams met was earlier this season in Week 5.

However, unlike last year’s AFC title game, this was all Buffalo. Allen was dominant, tight end Dawson Knox exploded, and Patrick Mahomes tossed two interceptions in the 38-20 Bills victory.

Will this time be the same? Can Buffalo finally get over the hump and defeat the Chiefs when it matters most?

Who knows, but remember, the Bills did beat the Chiefs at Arrowhead earlier this season, so that is something.

Sure, the Chiefs are playing terrific football right now, but Clark might have just poked the bear and awoken the Bills even more ahead of Sunday’s tilt.

Chiefs DE Frank Clark seemed non-chalant about the Bills rematch following the victory over the Steelers

After the Chiefs beat the Steelers, Clark delivered this message.

“Just another team” is one way to put it. Sure, the Chiefs are feeling great right now after an offensive outburst against Pittsburgh, but surely the Bills heard this.

The Bills-Chiefs showdown has become must-watch television, and this time will be no different with a trip to the AFC title game on the line.

Kansas City has a reason to feel like that, especially since they have been to two straight Super Bowls. But the Bills aren’t a team in the Chiefs’ way. Moreover, Buffalo could be the biggest obstacle for Kansas City.

The question is, can Allen and the Bills defeat Kansas City once again this season?

This isn’t “just another team”

As much as Clark insists that this Buffalo team is “just another team,” they aren’t.

The Bills have rattled off five straight victories, and the last two losses came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots at the beginning of December.

Allen’s group just throttled the Patriots on a cold night in Buffalo, silencing Bill Belichick’s team with a 47-17 victory. Everything went right. In fact, things went so well that they didn’t punt one single time in the game.

That is as good as it gets, so yeah, the Bills are as dangerous as ever right now.

On the flip side, the Chiefs are also hot, and Mahomes threw five touchdown passes against the Steelers last weekend.

Bills-Chiefs has a ton of storylines and should be a thrilling matchup. Perhaps that’s why this is the final game of the weekend.
